
Giuliano Reis is an Associate Professor of Science Education at the uOttawa’s Faculty of Education. His research interests include science and environmental education in diverse learning settings (e.g., schools, museums, and zoos). He works with numerous community organizations in Ottawa to promote EE through his courses. He is currently Vice-Dean Governance and Student Affairs, Chair of the University of Ottawa’s Service-Learning Sub-committee, and director of Genvironment. His publications include the following books: International Perspectives on the Theory and Practice of Environmental Education: A Reader (Springer, 2018) and Sociocultural Perspectives on Youth Ethical Consumerism (Springer, 2018). He is married to Juliana Reis and together they have two daughters: Ana-Julia and Maria-Luiza Reis. As an advisor, Dr. Reis is collaborating with Genvironment on exciting research and education initiatives including an action research project about Learning Gardens.
