Ashley is currently volunteering with Genvironment as a part-time intern while completing her studies in the Teacher Education Program at the University of Ottawa.  She is currently working with a special education class as part of her practicum placement.  She is in her second year of the program and is looking forward to working as a high school science teacher upon graduation.  Ashley has always had a passion for working with youth and supporting their development.  She worked as a high school Math and Science tutor for many years while completing her BSc. in Biology.  Following her undergrad, she worked as a dental hygienist for 5 years, specializing in the field of pediatric dentistry.  Ashley is committed to helping shape our future generations through encouraging youth to make environmentally responsible choices.  She is passionate about sustainability, loves spending time in nature and enjoys living a minimalistic lifestyle!
